BGT 2024-25: Will Rohit play in the first Test after practicing in Mumbai instead of going to Australia?
Xtra Time Web Desk: There is still uncertainty about whether Rohit Sharma will play in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, even though the entire Indian team has arrived in Australia. Rohit, however, took to the field for practice in Mumbai on Wednesday. According to sources close to the Indian captain, despite personal matters, Rohit is keen on ensuring his best preparation for the first Test.
The series starts on November 22, with India and Australia set to play five Tests. However, there is ambiguity about whether Rohit will feature in the opening Test. Reports suggest that Rohit is expecting the birth of his second child around the time of the Perth Test, which is why he had requested leave from the board in advance. But neither the board nor Rohit himself has confirmed the leave.
