Xtra Time Web Desk: The morning in Perth has already introduced another controversy! KL Rahul's dismissal in the first Test between India and Australia left most of the Indian viewers stunned and KL Rahul also as he seemed visibly unhappy with the decision taken by the third umpire.

It was a good length ball by Australia's ace pacer Starc where Rahul was adjudged caught behind. Although the on field umpire Richard Kettleborough ruled the ball as not-out, but Australia immediately called for a review. After rechecking the evidences, the third umpire overturned the decision and KL Rahul had been given out.

The controversy starts from the replay at it showed a clear spike, suggesting a possible edge, but the visuals were inconclusive. So the question is from where the sound occurred? Bat or pad? With no clear front-on angle available, the side-on replay further complicated matters, showing the bat and pad positioned close together.

Rahul was not happy with the decision which was evident in his expressions. He was shaking his head and venting out his frustration as he was walking back to the dressing room. Mark Nicholas was heard saying on air, “So difficult to be sure one way or the other. How could you possibly overturn decision?”

According to ICC rules, there should be conclusive evidence to overturn a decision from the on-field umpire. However, it looked like there was no conclusive evidence in that scenario. In fact, the broadcasters couldn't show another angle. A lot of questions are being asked and will be raised further related to the DRS system and umpiring.
