XtraTime Web Desk: The inaugural edition of the Lankan Premier League (LPL) which was scheduled to start this month has been postponed until November due to the health authorities not approving the quarantine period sought. This comes as a piece of disappointing news for fans who have been eagerly been waiting for cricket to resume in the country after 4-5 months.

“Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to inform that the Lanka Premier League which was scheduled to be held from 28th August 2020 to 20th September 2020 has been postponed to the month of November 2020 .The said decision was taken by SLC in consideration of the health guidelines stipulated by the Ministry of Health subsequent to the meeting held with the Health Ministry Authorities,” Sri Lanka Cricket Board said in a statement.
