He doesn't have any notion about Indian football as well. Though Anurag is saying, "Being the student of Film and Television Institute of India (Pune), I got the acting training of the legends like Om Puri, Nasiruddin Shah, Rajkumar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee. I had different workshops across the country. In my brief career, I played characters of cobblers and intoxicated people as well. That led me to take this challenge."
Anurag now has beeen training regularly at the Rabindra Sarovar Stadium to prepare well for his character. Though he has been facing issues to adapt the style, control and moves as there are not many videos available of it. Still he has been training under Kunal Das to get prepared for it. He was telling, "Hope my hard work would be paid off. The Bengali football lovers will love my acting."
At a glance, his looks, hairstyle and movements will remind of the great footballer only. He too realizes this. He was saying, "Krishanu Dey's wife Sharmila Dey was not intending to meet with me. But I eventually forced her and went to her place at Naktala. The moment she saw me she started crying like anything. Though her son Soham kept the emotions on check. Being there at their place, I suddenly started felling that I was a part of the family. Sharmila Devi took me to meet with his mom. Krishanu used to love having different fish items. They cooked those for me and I had those. That was one of the best days of my life."
The Director of the web-series is Korak Murmu. He too is facing the challenge on every second. He was telling XtraTime.in , "In the 80's. there were so many tales about the transfer news. It was natural that there would be something about him as well. The start of the web-series would be started with a captivating transfer story. The Maidani politics too has been implemented. Apart from that, his characters like like Bikash Paji, Bhaskar Ganguly, Manoranjan Bhattacharya, Chima Okorie and PK Banerjee too have been showcased in the web series."
He added, "Krishanu was a legend but he never got the due respect. The nation will now come to know about it."
