The moment Md. Shami took the catch of Lahiru Kumara , one man in the Indian dressing room spotted a satisfied look. Team India Coach Ravi Shastri must be elated to see his boys gift him a tremendous on his return to the Indian dressing room. Virat Kohli and his team scripted a 309 runs here at the Galle International Stadium to go 1-0 up in the three match test series. Apart from going ahead in the series, it also meant that the re-union between Shastri and Kohli was a successful one and the start of many more to follow. The Team India coach later tweeted : Good start boys. Well played boy. Way to go #TeamIndia. Shastri-tweet Shastri looked extremely happy with the way Virat and his boys performed against the Sri Lankans. The Men in Blue dominated the entire test match from the start. The former Director of Indian team was seen cracking a joke with the Sri Lankan fan Percy Abeyshekhara. Ravi-with-Percy The captain himself led from the front scoring a brilliant century in the second innings. Having been dismissed for 3 in the first innings, the skipper was under considerable pressure. In fact Kohli scored his 17th test century after a gap of 8 tests. It seems Ravi Shastri's return to the dressing room has brought with it luck for Kohli. Before Shastri's appointment as Team Director in August 2014, Kohli suffered one of the lowest points of his career, scoring a meagre 134 across nine innings in England. However, in the following series in Australia, as Shastri watched on, Kohli smashed records with four centuries Down Under, including a ton on captaincy debut. With the coach and captain re-building the same chemistry, future holds bright for Team India.
