Xtra Time Web Desk: Kolkata Knight Riders received a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s IPL 2023 clash against Gujarat Titans. The England opener joined the KKR squad in Ahmedabad directly from London. It goes to be seen if he is straightaway drafted into the playing XI against Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

Bangladesh opener Litton Das will be arriving in Kolkata on Sunday, April 9 from Dhaka. He will be available from KKR’s next matches.

Meanwhile, if Roy is included in the playing XI, then one of the overseas cricketers must make way which looks very unlikely. KKR Head Coach Chandrakant Pandit would not like to tinker with the XI that played against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The star England batter replaced Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who withdrew from the tournament last week due to personal reasons.

The Kolkata franchise took to social media to give their fans an update on Roy's arrival at their camp by sharing his photos on Twitter.

Following the loss in the first match against Punjab Kings, KKR bounced back with a convincing 81 runs win against RCB at the Eden Gardens on April 6.
