Xtra Time Web Desk: ATK Mohun Bagan’s star foreign recruit Joni Kauko on Saturday said they are confident of maintaining their winning momentum against defending ISL champions Mumbai City FC. The Mariners after their scintillating 3-0 win against arch rivals SC East Bengal in the season's first Kolkata derby, will take on Mumbai City on Wednesday, December 01.

“We are just keep going and it’s gonna be a huge game of course against Mumbai next game so we gonna give our best, I think we are in a good run at the moment and let’s go for it and I am really excited,” said Kauko in an interaction with ATK Mohun Bgaan Media.

Kauko, who was adjudged the Hero Man of the Match for his performance shared his feelings on winning the derby.

“Very nice very nice, I know how the  derbies are, I have played some big derby in my career before and I know what it means to people so I am really happy we were able to get the win and yeah too bad there’s no fans but hopefully people watched it."

Sharing his thoughts about his team’s performance, Kauko said, “I think we played very well, I think we played a very good first half and the second half was already 3-0  and we were not holding back on our goals but we were protecting our goals. I think overall we played a good game and I am really happy for it and we were able to find some good combinations.”

The midfielder from Finland did come close to scoring on a couple of occasions. He is confident that goals will definitely come from him.

“There some chances I missed but I know what I am capable of doing at this moment it’s not going in but at some point, it will go in and then there will be some more goals.”
