IPL 2022 : Punjab Kings' Raj Bawa chooses jersey number 12, gives tribute to his idol Yuvraj Singh
Xtra Time Web Desk : Punjab Kings' new recruitment Raj Bawa on Thursday gave a tribute to his idol Yuvraj Singh, as the U19 2022 World Cup winner chose jersey number 12 to show his respect and affection towards the man of the tournament of the 2011 World Cup.
In a previous interview with PTI, Raj said, "My father trained Yuvraj Singh. I used to watch him when I was a kid. I used to imitate Yuvraj Singh while batting. I watched his batting videos. He’s my role model,”
Raj, who was thhe man of the match in the U-19 World Cup final, had been trained by his father Sukhwinder Bawa, was also Yuvraj Singh's coach since his young days.
The junior Bawa was bought in this year's IPL Mega Auction by the Punjab Kings franchise for a sum of INR 2 cr.
