Xtra Time Web Desk : ICC U19 World Cup Final's man of the match, Raj Angad Bawa on Sunday was signed by Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League mega auction for a sum of INR 2 cr after the seam bowling all-rounder helped India to win the World Cup title with his all round performances throughout the tournament, especially in the final.

And after being signed by Punjab Kings in his first ever IPL season, Bawa opened up on Sunday to express his happiness of joining his home side and also getting to share the dressing room with senior ace cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan.

In an interview with the Times Of India, Bawa said, "Excited to meet him (Shikhar Dhawan) and see if he knows about it. I have always looked up to him and sharing the dressing room with him would be a great experience,"

Talking about Raj's price tag, his father Sukhwinder Singh Bawa, who is also the coach of Yuvraj Singh and the son of Olympic Gold medal winner Trilochan Singh Bawa said, "I am not concerned about the price tag. He has gone one step ahead after the World Cup performance. The real test for him as a cricketer comes now. Being a part of any IPL side is a learning curve for any youngster, and for Raj in particular, who better than a coach like Anil Kumble, fielding coach like Jonty Rhodes, and seniors like Shikhar Dhawan would a youngster expect,"

"I am happy that he was picked by the Punjab Kings side, as that keeps him in familiar territory and as a coach and father, I hope he performs to the best of his abilities. My best wishes to the team for the upcoming season," added the senior Bawa.
