Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in its Anuual General Meeting held on Saturday in Kolkata has decided to probe Ahmedabad IPL owner’s connection with betting com panies. The BCCI will constitute a neutral panel to investigate into the ownership pattern of CVC Capital, who bought the Ahmedabad based franchise for a whopping INR 5625 crore.

The CVC Capital had pipped favourite Adani Group to buy the team, but since then has come under spotlight because of its alleged connection with betting companies outside India.

"We have formed a committee who are investigating into the matter," BCCI secretary Jay Shah said after the meeting held in Kolkata.
