IPL 2021 : Virender Sehwag identifies Ruturaj Gaikwad as future captaincy 'material'

Chennai Super Kings is in very good form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021,Indian T-20 League). They have won 5 matches in a row. Their team looks settled. Most importantly their opening pair is back in form.
In their last match vs Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings openers started to fire from the very first ball . Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis put on a 129 run opening partnership for the first wicket in pursuit of 172 to win. Ruturaj was in top form as he scored 75 runs from just 44 balls. This set the platform for CSK to complete a comfortable win.
Former India opener Virender Sehwag is quite impressed by the way Gaikwad is playing. He lauded the youngstars performance,praised him highly and said “I haven’t met him, nor seen Ruturaj Gaikwad play personally, but if he stays at CSK for the next couple of years, he may have the capability to become the captain. I haven’t spent time with him personally. But he bats with a calm head, he knows when to take risks and how to bat at each moment."
