Anrich Nortje tested covid positive

Xtratime Web Desk : Delhi Capitals dealt body blow as news came in that their frontline paceman South African Anrich Nortje is tested positive with Covid-19 . The Proteas pacer missed Delhi Capitals first match against Chennai Super Kings which they won convincingly. Anrich was busy playing for his country against Pakistan in a one day series. Mid-way in that series he along with many of his countrymen flew from South Africa for India to be a part of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2021 season.

Nortje and Rabada both landed in Mumbai and they were sent to mandatory seven day quarantine where they had routine check up done as per covid protocol . Anrich's report came positive which is a real blow for Delhi Capitals. Incidentlly Nortje was in top form with the ball in the very first two-dayers he played versus Pakistan . He took a total of seven wickets.
