XtraTime Web Desk: With the dates being officially announced by the IPL Governing Council, the franchises are working overtime with logistics, hotel accommodation, travel arrangements etc. According to a few franchises, they would prefer staying in resorts rather than hotels as it may be crowded especially with the UAE Government starting to issue tourist/travel visas from last week. Staying in the hotels can be a bit difficult as far as social distancing is concerned. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is looking to keep all the teams in two or three hotels as it will be easy to create a Bio-Bubble.

It is learnt Shah Rukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders is planning to stay in a resort in Abu Dhabi. The Knight Riders are likely to make Abu Dhabi as its base. According to sources, KKR management is in talks with Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas in Abu Dhabi for the stay of their team. Sunrisers Hyderabad too are also planning to keep the team in a resort. The team management is currently in talks with Golf resorts in Dubai to keep the team. Reigning champions Mumbai Indians is most likely to stay in Sofitel-The Palm hotel in Dubai. Chennai Super Kings too will make Dubai as their base.

None of the franchises has finalized anything about their stay yet in UAE. It will only be finalized after discussion with IPL Governing Council members.
