XtraTime Web Desk: Former West Indian legend Brian Lara proved his long time friend and fierce competitor Shane Warne right as the left hander from Trinidad predicted it will be a tough battle for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday. Lara’s words turned right as Steve Smith led Rajasthan Royals suffered a humiliating 37 runs defeat at the hands of KKR. The Prince of Trinidad posted a picture of him with Warne on his instagram handle ahead of the match and wrote Can’t remember where this pic was taken do you @shanewarne23 ? One thing I know we are better dressers now than back then lol. Good luck today @rajasthanroyals @shanewarne23 BUT it’s going to be a tough one against @kkriders #ipl #starsportsindia #dubai

Lara is in Mumbai right now doing commentary in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) for Star Sports. Shane Warne on the other hand is in UAE in the role of an ambassador and mentor for the Rajasthan Royals. The Australian spin wizard made his presence for the first time in this season during Rajasthan’s clash against KKR after spending in quarantine. The leg spinner looked anxious as KKR dominated the proceedings in the match.

Both Shane Warne and Brian Lara shared a great friendship both on and off the field. And their rivalry on the cricket field is a treat to watch for everyone. The two have played against each other on 42 occasions
(20 Tests, 22 ODIs). Warne dismissed Lara 10 times while the left hander scored 2729 runs (8 hundreds, 12 fifties) against Warne. Both the legends shared a mutual respect about each other.
