Axar Patel bowled brilliantly for the home side. He started the bowling attack for Punjab and he struck the first blow, dismissing opener Shane Watson (1) in the last ball of the first over itself. Looking to play a cut shot, Watson ended up dragging the ball on to his stumps. Kings XI Punjab skipper was very happy with Axar’s performance. “Axar is a true professional and he delivered. He is a quality spinner and he continued to showcase his class and that's what we asked from him,” said Maxwell at the post match presentation ceremony. The Aussie power hitter hailed Haseem Amla for his brilliant knock of 58 runs. He praised this other bowlers and teammates too for this all-round performance. “Amla is world-class. Feeling good, we would like to have a few more games here. The bowlers set things up nicely for us. It's been great for them to execute their skills on a small ground. Great start, boys are backing that up nicely,” Maxwell concluded. RCB captain Shane Watson blamed himself for the result as he got out in the very first over of the match. “Not at all (a good start). I am certainly to blame there; I got out in the first over,” said Watson. He lauded AB de Villiers for his brilliant knock and said if the others batted well they could reach to 170 or 180 runs. “AB was brilliant tonight. The others needed to support him a bit more. Little bit more dew than I thought it would be. AB was incredible as he always is and it would have been nice if we had supported him,” concluded Watson.
