India tour of Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka announce squad, Dasun Shanaka to lead
Xtra Time Web Desk: Sri Lanka Cricket on Friday announced a 24 member squad for the upcoming white ball series against India. The squad was approved by the Minister of Youth and Sports Honorable Namal Rajapaksa.
The team will be lead by Dasun Shanaka while Dhananjaya De Silva has been named the vice captain of the side. Kusal Perera has pulled himself out of the side due to a shoulder injury. Fast bowler Binura Fernando will only play the T20I series.
Lahiru Udara, Shiran Fernando and Ishan Jayaratne got their maiden call up for the national side. Dananjaya Laxman and Praveen Jayawickrema have played just one ODI each. Lahiru Kumara makes a comeback into the national side after 2020.
