Xtra Time Web Desk: Golfer Aditi Ashok is continuing to impress as she is now second after Round 3 in the golf event at Tokyo Olympics. Aditi had another great day at Kasumigaseki Country Club on Friday where she maintained her second position. She has a two stroke cushion over 3rd place which means she has high hopes of winning a medal for the country with the final round coming up on Saturday. Nelly Korda of the USA is enjoying the first position. Aditi can end up winning a silver if weather plays spoilsport tomorrow as these will be the final standings. According to local newspaper reports, a tropical storm is expected to hit Kasumigaseki Country Club at the weekend, reducing the women's golf to 54 holes.

The professional golfer from Karnataka is seeking a historic medal for the country in golf. The 23-year-old Ashok fired a stellar 4-under 67 in Wednesday’s first-round which is played under hot and humid conditions to lie one shot behind leader Madelene Sagstrom of Sweden. She was tied for second with American star Nelly Korda, with three others a further shot back.
