File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: The Professional Golf Tour of India's inaugural TAKE Open Golf Championship will kick-start at the Karnataka Golf Association in Bengaluru from October 19 to 22. The first edition of the TAKE Open will offer a total prize purse of Rs. 1 crore and will be the third biggest tournament on the PGTI in terms of prize money, after the McLeod Russel which carries Rs.1.5 crore of prize money and the Louis Philippe Cup (Rs. 1.2 crore). Srinivasan HR, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, TAKE Solutions, says, "We wanted to support our local players and the PGTI by making this a National event. We felt it s important to give a solid platform to our players at their home ground before they are ready to compete at a bigger level." Uttam Singh Mundy, Director, PGTI, said, "We thank TAKE Solutions for launching the TAKE Open, the latest addition to the PGTI schedule.
