Sunrisers Hyderabad pace sensation Umran Malik has semi-cemented his place in the future India team. Do you agree with this comment from SRH fast bowling coach Dale Steyn? The former Proteas speedster heaped loads of praises on Umran saying that not only he is the frontrunner of wearing the Purple Cap this season but is also really close to donning the India jersey.

“Umran was fantastic. I think he is semi-cemented his spot in that Indian team in the future. I may come to eat my words. He was wonderful today,” said Steyn in a video posted by the Sunrisers Hyderabad on their official Twitter handle.

He added, “The pitch conditions suited him perfectly as it did for somebody like (Mohammed) Shami and ran in and hit the deck really hard. Bowled straight lines really quickly and disturbed the timber quite often. He was absolutely marvelous,”

The fast bowler from Jammu & Kashmir has literally lit up the ongoing edition of IPL with his pace, constantly bowling around 145 kmph mark. The 22-year-old has so far picked 15 wickets, including his maiden five-fer in the game against Gujarat Titans.

Apart from his lightning speed, another thing that impressed the most in Umran’s bowling was the toe crashing yorkers that deceived even the well-set batters, The pace sensation would be hoping to repeat his heroics in the next game against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on May 1.
