Scottish striker Lee Erwin is headed to Mohun Bagan; a 1+1 year deal is likely.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant are set to strengthen their attack with Scottish striker Lee Erwin. According to sources, the 32-year-old forward has agreed terms with the Mariners, with only some paperwork remaining before the deal can be officially completed.

Erwin is reportedly set to sign a 1+1 year contract with Mohun Bagan, with the financial value of the deal believed to be around ₹3.5 crore.

Interestingly, Erwin was previously close to joining Chennaiyin FC. Negotiations between the player and the club had progressed, and paperwork was reportedly underway. However, in a dramatic late twist, the deal fell through, with Erwin instead moving towards an agreement with Mohun Bagan.

The Scottish striker brings experience of playing for clubs in both Europe and Asia. During his career, he has represented Leeds United and Bari FC, among others. Before his proposed move to Mohun Bagan, Erwin was playing for Jordanian club Al-Faisaly. He has also represented Scotland at the Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels.

Standing around 6 feet 2 inches (188 cm) tall, Erwin is a traditional number nine. His physical strength, ability to hold up the ball and aerial prowess are among his biggest strengths. He can shield the ball effectively under pressure and bring his teammates into attacking moves.

Erwin is also known for his movement inside the penalty area and his finishing ability. Comfortable using both feet, he can finish with either side and is capable of dropping deeper or moving towards the wings to help create attacking opportunities.

Overall, a strong and physical striker like Erwin could add a new dimension to Mohun Bagan's attack. However, the transfer will only be officially confirmed once the paperwork is completed and the club makes a formal announcement.
