DPL Under Scanner After Vansh Bedi Reports Alleged Fixing Approach
According to reports, the wider allegations relate to game seven of the Delhi Premier League, which took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, between Central Delhi Kings and North Delhi Strikers. This controversy has emerged from a sting operation which involved former Ranji Trophy player Rachit Bhatia, who allegedly discussed access to the playing XI information before the match.
XtraTime Webdesk: The third edition of the Delhi Premier League 2026, which started on 31st July and ended on 30th August, has now indulged in a new controversy. The controversy has emerged when Vansh Bedi, who plays for the Central Delhi Kings, has reported that a player from neighbour state has approached him for match-fixing. Bedi reportedly flagged the approach to the anti-corruption wing, and the matter was documented.
The DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma said that Vansh Bedi reported to the anti-corruption wing that he was approached by a player from Uttar Pradesh who was also playing in a T20 league in that state.

Till now, DDCA has formally sent a letter to BCCI to seek guidance on how to proceed with this matter. Ashok Sharma has confirmed that they will cooperate with providing every material BCCI will ask for, including available video footage. According to DDCA, they have established an anti-corruption setup which involves Security Liaison Officers (SLOs) with all eight teams under DDCA. They have even spent around ₹30–35 lacs anti corruption arrangements and the officers accompanied the teams and stayed with them in the hotels.
The sting operation contains claims and recordings, but those claims are not the same as the established findings of match-fixing. Now the next move of DDCA about this matter will depend on the response of BCCI.
