IFA Shield 2026-27: Group Stage Fixtures Revealed, Action Begins September 22

Sreenidi Deccan FC will then face Northeast United FC on September 26, with the venue yet to be announced. The final Group II fixture will see Mohun Bagan SG take on Northeast United FC on September 29 at the Mohun Bagan AC/CFC ground. That match will also begin at 3 PM.

IFA Shield 2026-27: Group Stage Fixtures Revealed, Action Begins September 22

XtraTime Webdesk: The fixtures for the IFA Shield 2026-27 have been announced, setting the stage for another exciting edition of one of Bengal’s most prestigious football tournaments. With East Bengal FC, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Mohun Bagan Super Giant among the participating teams, football fans can look forward to an intriguing battle for supremacy.

The tournament features six teams divided into two groups. Group I comprises East Bengal FC, Mohammedan SC and Punjab FC, while Group II includes Mohun Bagan SG, Sreenidi Deccan FC and Northeast United FC.

The group-stage action will begin on September 22, with Mohammedan SC taking on East Bengal FC in the opening fixture of Group I. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 PM, with the venue yet to be confirmed.

Mohammedan SC will return to action on September 25 against Punjab FC, also at 3 PM. The final Group I encounter will see East Bengal FC face Punjab FC on September 28 at the East Bengal FC/Aryan Ground.

In Group II, Mohun Bagan SG will begin their campaign against Sreenidi Deccan FC on September 23 at the Mohun Bagan AC/CFC ground. The match is scheduled for a 3 PM start.

Sreenidi Deccan FC will then face Northeast United FC on September 26, with the venue yet to be announced. The final Group II fixture will see Mohun Bagan SG take on Northeast United FC on September 29 at the Mohun Bagan AC/CFC ground. That match will also begin at 3 PM.

The top teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, scheduled for October 2. Both semi-final venues and kick-off times are yet to be confirmed. The final will feature the winners of Semi-final 1 and Semi-final 2, with the date, venue, and time to be announced.

With the tournament bringing together some of the region’s prominent football clubs, the IFA Shield promises an exciting contest for players and supporters alike.

Former Mohun Bagan defender Prabir Das has announced his retirement from professional football, bringing the curtain down on a career that saw him represent several clubs, including Mohun Bagan, ATK, Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City FC. His final club was Inter Kashi.
