India took a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series after defeating the West Indies by 14 runs in the third T20I. A crucial partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan played a major role in deciding the outcome of the match. After winning the toss, West Indies captain Shai Hope elected to bowl first. India posted 223 in 20 overs, while the Caribbean side finished at 209/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Sanju Samson failed to make an impact with the bat, departing for just three runs. However, Abhishek Sharma joined Ishan Kishan at the crease, and the duo launched a fierce counterattack. Abhishek was particularly destructive, scoring 69 off just 30 balls, while Kishan contributed 37 off 18 deliveries. Their second-wicket partnership yielded 108 runs, helping India race to 87/1 in the powerplay.

However, once the partnership was broken, India lost wickets in quick succession and struggled to maintain their momentum. As a result, they once again fell short of the 250-run mark. Shreyas Iyer departed for one, while Tilak Varma scored 28, Naman Dhir made 10 and Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed 21. For the West Indies, Roston Chase, Shamar Joseph and Shamar Springer claimed two wickets each.

In reply, the West Indies found themselves under pressure after losing wickets at regular intervals. Although they managed to cross the 200-run mark through a fighting effort, no batter could replicate Shai Hope's match-winning performance from the previous game.

India's bowlers, particularly Arshdeep Singh and Mayank Yadav, delivered a much-improved performance after struggling in the previous match. Arshdeep claimed three wickets for 44 runs, while Mayank conceded 34 runs in his four overs. Naman Dhir picked up two wickets for 39 runs, and Axar Patel finished with one wicket for 33 runs.

Arshdeep Singh was named Player of the Match for his impressive bowling performance.
