AbinashRuidas Kolkata: A 6 member committee has been formed by the Federation to investigate the matter concerning with Abinas Ruidas. The committee will consist of members from the Disciplinary Committee, Player Status Committee and others. The Secretary of Southern Samity Sourav Pal reportedly claimed that Rs 50 lakhs which was given to the club by the Rajya Sabha has been laundered by the club President Ratan Dey. Allegations were made that Dey had improperly spent the money without giving proper valuations and as result the team which started the I-League season 2nd division on a good note had to pull back after failing to make payments to the players. Certain confusion too rose as to the participation of the team in the upcoming CFL. Earlier Army XI had withdrawn their team from the Kolkata league and another team pulling their name would certainly mean a great loss to the league. To prevent this situation, the State Sports Minister Aroop Biswas held a meeting at the Netaji Indoor Stadium. The meeting consisted of members like IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguly, Southern Samity President Ratan Dey, Secretary Sourav Pal and Joint Secretaries Debasish Kumar and Montu Saha. After the meeting the sports minister made it clear that the disputes would be settled and Southern Samity would participate in the tournament. They team will get equal respect compared to the other teams and would fill up the registration form before the deadline day. “Aroop Biswas instructed us that the audits and the accounts which have been pending for the last 16 months should be completed by the coming Sunday” said Sourav Pal. Although starting a bit late, the club has started to bolster their squad as they are trying to recruit some named foreigners. “Apart from some named players who play in the 2nd division I-League, we are trying to sign some good foreigners. We have held talks with Dudu, Yakubu and Eche. The club is also trying to sign Jose Rodriguez who plays in the club Rosanio which competes in the Spanish Premier 2nd division league” said Pal.
