Justice Mukul Mudgal. He is also the Chairman of FIFA Review Committee and Governing Committee. After the announcement that the FIFA U17 World Cup would take place, FIFA had given him the job of choosing the venue. He also took the final call on where the team would stay during the tournament. After successfully organizing the FIFA U17 World Cup, Justice Mudgal looked really happy. He is well known as a huge fan of football and whenever Indian Super League’s Delhi based franchise Delhi Dynamos play in the city, he used to visit the games with his daughter. After a successful FIFA U17 World Cup he said,” It’s a great experience for India and as well as it’s a great experience for the world to know that we can organize this type of event successfully and everyone saw that no one can match India’s hospitality. The kind of hospitality given to the delegates were the best in the world.” On being asked whether India can organize a World Cup in future, Mudgal said,” Why not? We played really well in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics as the team finished on fourth. We might have lost in the semis 3-1, but we could be fourth there are a lot of chances of improvement too. We had qualified for World Cup in 50s, but the team didn’t have the money to go, so I think scope is there and I hope it comes true.”
