Sabyasachi Bagchi: As expected The Asian Football Confederation has sent all the documents regarding club licensing to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) House in New Delhi and the AIFF Officials has sent those documents to all the ISL and I-League clubs. The clubs will get 10 days to complete the licensing procedure for the forthcoming season revealed the I-League CEO Sunanda Dhar.

"After getting a green signal from the AFC, we have sent the club licensing documents to all the ISL & I-League Clubs. All the club's will get 10 days time till July 24 to sign the agreement papers and send it back to us. After that we will keep one document to us after signing it and another copy will be send to the respective clubs. The clubs who won't be able send us the documents in between July 24, they can't take part in the club licensing procedure this year and beside that the clubs can't participate in any AFC or AIFF affiliated tournament," said Dhar.

After this the football fraternity has started believing that with the announcement Kolkata giant East Bengal are in big trouble as Quess still has the football rights in their hand. The bigger problem is the COVID-19 condition in Bengaluru has worsened a lot and for that reason the Head Office of Quess is closed right now. Still the AIFF has sent a mail regarding the club licensing to all the directors of Quess East Bengal FC. Now If East Bengal Club has to complete the club licensing procedure then they have to part ways with Quess at first and then they have to form a new company. Beside that the new company needs affiliation from the AFC & AIFF as well. Though AIFF Secretary Kushal Das is assuring East Bengal fans that everything will be fine in a few days time.

"The club licensing procedure will begin from next week or at the end of this week but we will ensure that if a club have some problems then we will give the further time. We want to complete the licensing procedure of all the ISL & I-League clubs at the end of August as the leagues will begin from November. I can assure all the East Bengal fans that if the club completes the signing of termination of agreement with Quess and gets a new investor, I don't see any problem in front of them," said AIFF Secretary Kushal Das.
