Xtra Time Web Desk : Due to the rising threat of corona in India , Board of Control for Cricket in India has just postponed the 14 th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021, Indian T-20 League). Too many cricketeres inside the bubble tested positive for Corona recently leaving BCCI with little choice but to postpone the event for indefinite period.

If everything went fine then vaccination programme for Indian cricketers playing in the IPL would have started by 1st May. India will be Incidentally touring England in the month of June for World test Championship (WTC) final to be played at Southampton vs New Zealand . It is learnt that BCCI has asked its cricketers to get the first dose of vaccine immediately from their locality. Now the question is that which vaccine these players would take?

In India there are two vaccines that are available are Covishield and Covaxin. It is learnt that BCCI has asked their players to take Covishield as first dose so that they can take their second dose while in England as Covishield is produced in association with Astra Zeneca which Incidentally is a British company.Today BCCI will announce the team fot World test championship final and cricketeres will start to take their first dose of vaccine after that.
