AIFF[/caption] Internet Desk: India thumped Puerto Rico 4-1 in a FIFA International friendly match at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. Narayan Das (17'), Sunil Chhetri (26'), Jeje (34')and Jackichand Singh (58') netted for India against a team which is 38 places ahead of India in the FIFA rankings while Emanuel Sanchez (7')scored from the spot-kick. They could have scored more but a pair of shot was denied by the post otherwise they could have reduced the deficit in the second half. India custodian Gurpreet Singh Sandhu did not have to do much as the defensive line of Arnab Mondal, Sandesh Jhingan, Pritam Kotal and Narayan Das were stupendous. As it was a friendly match, Stephen Constantine rotated his players making four changes in total during the match with the team leading 4-1 within an hour of the match. jeje vs Puerto Rico In the 7th minute of the match Elliot Velez was brought down by Jackichand Singh as they were awarded a penalty by the referee. Emanuel Sanchez made no mistake to dig the ball inside the net to make it 1-0 for the visitors. After conceding an early goal, The Blues did not lose hope as they kept on making frequent attack in Puerto Rico's defense which resulted in the equaliser for them in the 14th minute. A peach of a freekick from Sunil who was desperately unlucky to hit the near post. Narayan Das was alert as he reached the rebound and smashed it into the far corner. India gained a lot of confidence from this goal and they did not look back from here on. In the 26th minute, Sunil Chhetri scored from a smashing free-kick with a grounded shot that hit the far post and rolled inside. Puerto Rico custodian Jonny Santana was left standing. Right-back Pritam Kotal came with a fine deep cross to Sunil who showed excellent vision to head it to the far corner where Jeje was unmarked and he headed it in. India took complete control of the match as they kept on defending hard as well as counter-attacks and the team from Caribbean islands looked out of ideas. At the end of the first half India was leading 3-1. In the second half India began strongly putting more pressure which resulted in extending the lead. Jackichand Singh was in the scoresheet.  It was off an innocuous throw in, Jeje got the ball and crossed it in the box. Eugeneson Lyngdoh was there as he tried to head it into goal but his mishit header was smashed in by Jacki.
