XtraTime Newsdesk: Red-ball cricket is officially back in Indian domestic cricket, with the 2026–27 Duleep Trophy set to begin on August 23 in Bengaluru. The tournament promises to be much more than another domestic competition, as several established stars and ambitious young players look to make a strong case for a place in India’s Test squad.

The six zonal teams will battle it out at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, with every performance likely to attract the attention of national selectors.
