Image Source: lockerdome.com[/caption] Internet Desk: Academy award winning music composer AR Rahman is once again in the race for the Oscars, this time around for "Pele: Birth of a Legend". Directed by Jeff and Michael Zimbalist, "Pele" is a biographical film on the Brazilian soccer legend who rose from the slums of Brazil to achieve international fame. Rahman will be competing with 145 others in the same category. Apart from the original score, the song Ginga has also been shortlisted in the Original Song category along with 91 other songs. The versatile music director from the South had already won two Oscars. He won the coveted award for his work in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire in 2009. He won the Oscars for the Best Original Score and Best Original Song, Jai Ho. Meanwhile, Alex Heffes -- who composed music for Indian film-maker Mira Nair's 'Queen of Katwe', is also included in both the categories for his compositions in the biographical sports drama film. The final nominations for the 89th Academy Awards will be announced on January 24, 2017. The presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place next year on February 26.
