IPL 2019: Johny Bairstow ends his maiden season with this disappointment

Xtra Time Web Desk: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s English opener Johny Bairstow ended his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) season with a disappointment. The Yorkshire cricketer did not trouble the scorer during the Indian Premier League clash against Chennai Super Kings as he edged a Harbhajan Singh delivery to MS Dhoni behind the stumps.
The England batsman did lit up the IPL 2019 season with some splendid knocks. He has scored 445 runs from 10 matches at a staggering strike rate of 157.2.
Talking about his first experience of playing in the cash rich league, Bairstow said, “I absolutely loved it. Not my day today but the experience here has been unbelievable. Great bunch of guys at the Sunrisers along with great bunch of coaches.”
Bairstow will be leaving for home to attend England’s preparatory camp for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
“I think the main thing is having confidence in your own ability. That’s the big thing at the top of the order. Going out and playing the way you want to play,” said Bairstow.
The highlight for this IPL season has been the opening partnership of David Warner and Johny Bairstow. The pair have stitched 4 century partnerships between them and has been the stand-out performers of the league.
