Jhulan Goswami reaches the milestone of 600 career wickets

Jhulan Goswami on Sunday reached the milestone of 600 career wickets.

Xtra Time Web Desk: India women team’s senior pacer Jhulan Goswami on Sunday added another personal milestone breaching the 600 mark in career wickets. Jhulan achieved this feat against Australia’s captain Meg Lanningwho was caught behind for a duck in the 3rd ODI between India and Australia at McKay.

Jhulan now has 240 ODI wickets at 21.59, while she has claimed 41 wickets in 11 Test at 17.63 and has 56 T20I wickets in 68 matches, taking her tally of international wickets to 337.

She has also claimed 264 wickets in the domestic circuit.

Jhulan claimed Lanning after sending back Rachael Haynes to hand India an early advantage in the 3rd ODI. India won the nail-biter defeating Australia by two wickets with three balls to spare. Jhulan, who set the game up with 3 for 37, hitting the winning boundary,

Commenting on her achievement, Cricket Association of Bengal President Avishek Dalmiya said, “She is a living legend. At 38 she is still one of the fittest in the team and can change matches with her bowling prowess. I congratulate her in behalf of CAB. She has made us all very proud.”
