Xtra Time Web Desk: India all rounder Hardik Pandya on Tuesday showed an incredible gesture after the 3rd T20I against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Hardik was seen handing over his Man of the Series award to T Natarajan. Indian captain Virat Kohli too handed over the series trophy to the pacer from Tamil Nadu during the team photoshoot after the presentation ceremony.
Natarajan has been the real find for Indian in the white ball series against Australia. The left arm seamer has won the hearts of millions with his performance in his debut series. He picked two wickets on his ODI debut which eventually helped India win its first match on tour.
Following his brilliant show in the final ODI, the team management gave him an opportunity in the first T20I. The youngster grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he picked three wickets to help India defend 161 runs. His finest display came during the second T20I when he gave away just 20 runs in his four overs and took 2 wickets. In the last T20I match of the series, he picked 1 wicket for 33 runs.
The left-arm pacer was originally not a part of India’s T20I and ODI squads and was picked only as a net bowler.
However, fate had planned something else for the pacer.
