Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: The U16 Kolkata derby emotions picked its pulse in a dramatic clash between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan at the Mohun Bagan Ground as the Green and Maroon brigade wins the battle of pride by 2-0 against the Red and Gold brigade in the U16 Youth League today. Deep Saha scored the opening goal for the Mariners in 43^rd minute of the game and substitute Sougata Hansda doubled the lead for Bagan on 87^th minute. Mohun Bagan is holding the top spot from Kolkata region, as they have won all three matches in the league and secured nine points. Despite the fact that it was an U16 tie, the rival fans who came to cheer for their favourite teams, reminded the tension and mood of a senior derby between the arch rivals. The negative excitement of the fans led the tussle to such a limit, which forced the police to get involved in the gallery and take necessary actions against the fans who created the mess. Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen, Mohun Bagan’s Head in Youth Development Ananta Ghosh, former footballers Ranjan Chowdhury & Goutam Ghosh who came to watch the junior derby, criticized the fans heavily for their behaviour during the game as they constantly bantered each other with slangs throughout the game. Mohun Bagan Coach Sanjoy Sen, who got irritated by the reactions of the fans, said,”The fans should get educated first before coming to the ground. The young kids were playing today and the way the fans reacted is completely unacceptable. They should learn the basic education first of how to behave in a football ground.” Deep Saha who scored the opening goal for Bagan, said,”Asim Biswas is my idol and I want to play for the national team someday.” The other goal scorer Sougata Hansda, who idolizes Mohun Bagan winger Prabir Das also owns the same dream to play for the nation some day.
