Twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: Mayank Agarwal and Gautam Gambhir helped India Blue to 105 without loss before rain stopped play in the second session of the first day of India Blue’s Duleep Trophy match against India Red. Greater Noida had woken up to a cloudy morning and light rain, however, by the time of the toss for the afternoon start of play, the sun was blazing over the stadium. The second game of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2016-17 being played under lights with the pink ball had an uninterrupted first session after Yuvraj Singh elected to field. The India Blue captain, Gambhir, opening the innings with Agarwal helped his team to 81 until the end of the first session in an unbroken stand. Let off at deep fine-leg by Pradeep Sangwan after top-edging Nathu Singh while still on six, the left-hand batsman settled in for a long haul. With Agarwal, he kept the bowlers at bay and the pair steadily laid a solid stand. With singles and the well timed odd boundary, the duo took the team to tea.

With clouds approaching the stadium, the second session resumed under lights and it wasn’t long before rain came pouring down. However, before the stadium was drenched, both openers brought up their half-centuries.
Early into the session, Agarwal stepped out to Kuldeep Yadav and punched the spinner through long-on to bring up his fifty. The captain soon followed suit. He smacked Sangwan past point for four and pulled the next delivery to the fence to bring up his fifty and take the team past the three-figure mark. Five runs later, heavy showers stopped play. Play was then called off, with the rain refusing to let up. Brief scores: Day 1 - India Blue 1st inn 105/0 in 34.2 overs (M Agarwal 53*, G Gambhir 51*)
