Veteran international umpire Subrata Banerjee passed away at 71

Pic facebook@kolkata club cricket[/caption] Internet Desk: Veteran cricket umpire of India Subrata Banerjee(71) passed away today. He was suffering from cancer since the last one year. He was an ODI umpire of India from 1983 to 1998. The first ODI he stood as the umpire was on 9th November 1983. India played the match against West Indies. He stood in only one test match which was a women’s match. In that match India played against England 17th November 1995 in Kolkata. He stood for his last ODI on 28th May 1998 at Gwalior where India played against Kenya. Apart from all these international matches Subrata Banerjee stood for umpiring 68 1st class cricket matches too.
