Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Debasis Sen, Antigua: If Virat Kohli and his team feel they will be overwhelming favourites in the four match test series against the Caribbean, former West Indian great Sir Viv Richards do not feel the same. According to the legendary cricketer , the test series will be a competitive one with both teams possessing talented cricketers in their ranks. Dressed in a yellow linen shirt and black trousers, Sir Viv was busy the entire day shooting for the promo of the series for the host broadcasters. “I think it’s going to be a much more competitive series this time round. The home team has a great opportunity to prove others wrong. Captain Jason Holder needs to get the side of the coin right” said Richards. The former great was seen giving words of advice to Criag Brathwaite and Shanon Gabriel during the West Indies practice session on Tuesday. Later on he was involved in a discussion with another former cricketer and currently the national selector Courtney Walsh. It is amazing to see how the popularity of an individual can inspire an entire island. The stadium itself is named after the great batsman, regarded as the best in the business. Fans still chase him even after leaving the game for almost two decades. [caption id="attachment_18375" align="alignnone" width="580"]Virat-with-Sir-Viv Sir Viv Richards has always admired Virat Kohli's style of batting. Image Source: BCCI[/caption]   Sir Viv did have an opportunity to meet Virat Kohli as well at the Indian team hotel on Monday. On being asked about the meeting, he said, “It was actually a privilege to meet Virat. Having seen him play over the years, I am an admirer because I like guys who are aggressive, guys who know they are good enough and can confront any sort of hostile attack. I am seriously happy to see guys with some skill who have got a serious will to prove themselves.” He complimented the Indian test captain by saying, “He still has the hunger to do well after achieving so much in his career. He is always looking to taste success and that is what impresses me the most about him.” Regarded as the most destructive batsman during his time, Sir Viv feels a batsman needs to adjust quickly to the situation, in order to be successful across all formats. “Sometimes adjustments that need to made are not made quickly,” he said. “Look at Virat, AB de Villiers or David Warner from Australia. All of them are attacking players who have been able to accomplish themselves well. Some guys will adjust to the various formats much quicker than the rest. That’s what separates them from the others,” said Sir Viv. Indians will be playing for the first time at the Sir Viv Richards stadium. With a tinge of grass covering 24 hours before the match, there is a possibility for the bowlers to get some carry and bounce. “I was told that the wicket is going to be a quick one and is going to have some bounce. Sometimes the results never quite suggest that. Here’s another opportunity again so let’s see what happens,” signs off  the legendary batsman.
