Eden Gardens likely to host a Test match during Australia series

File Pic.[/caption] Internet Desk: Iconic Eden Gardens is all set to host a test match against the touring Australian team during the month of February or March next year. Steve Smith and his side will be in India at the beginning of next year to play four test matches. Last time Eden Gardens hosted a test against Australia was that famous match in 2001 where VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid guided India to a memorable test win. Laxman scored a brilliant 281 runs. Australia is scheduled to take part in a four test series. The venue for all the test matches is yet to be decided. The ICC is yet to release the FTP calendar. Apart from hosting the test match, Eden Gardens will also likely to host a ODI against New Zealand in October or November. According to Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly, “Eden Gardens has always successfully organized an international match. We are sure to host the matches successfully if we get it.”
