Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Internet Desk: International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken note of the power failure at Eden Gardens during last Saturday's New Zealand-Bangladesh World T20 Super 10 tie. In a letter sent to Cricket Association of Bengal, the ICC has asked the association to ensure that all facilities are adequate and in order, as not many days remain for the final on April 3. On Monday CAB president Sourav Ganguly had a meeting with the two joint secretaries Abhishek Dalmiya and Subir Ganguly, treasurer Biswarup Dey, stadium committee chairman Chitrak Mitra along with CESC officials, Garuda Power Pvt. Ltd, Jackson Limited and Indian Overseas Trading Company (agencies who look after Eden floodlights). It was decided that the blunder from the operator should be treated as basic human error, since the person had already issued an apology. It has also decided that there would be neutral observers to oversee the working of each of the four Eden towers. The association has not sought any Police intervention. According to Joint Secretary Subir Ganguly , “Yes one man has switched it off. But whether it is intentional or unintentional will be known only after investigation. For the moment we are more focused on conducting the World T20 Final in a proper manner” Play was held up for 15 minutes on Saturday as the lights at the High Court end tower were switched off "manually".
