Will BCCI, IPL think about this valid point raised by Manoj Tiwary

XtraTime Web Desk: India cricketer Manoj Tiwary recently raised a valid point of making it mandatory for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises to keep at least one or two local talent in the team. Tiwary raised his point on his twitter handle. He tweeted, “Wanted to throw up a question related 2 #IPL How many of u all think of having a mandatory domestic local talent 2 be in their respective local franchise team?? I will share my opinion later in d evening.”

Not surprisingly, he got quite a few replies from his fans with most of them in favour of the Bengal cricketer. Tiwary we all know was deprived of getting retained by Kolkata Knight Riders in-spite of playing a key role in the final against Chennai Super Kings in 2012. He smacked Dwayne Bravo for a couple of fours to script glory for the Shah Rukh Khan owned franchise.

So far in his career the Bengal southpaw has represented Delhi Daredevils, KKR, Rising Pune Supergiant and Kings XI Punjab. He hasn’t been a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) ever since the 2018 edition of the T20 tournament. Back then, he represented the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

The right-handed batsman had played 98 matches in the cash rich league, scoring 1695 runs at an average of 28.73. He hit seven half centuries.
