Internet Desk: Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team is in red hot form since last couple of years. They played brilliantly during their last home season and after they showed their dominance too on Sri Lankan soil. They created a record by completing a 9-0 victory over the Lankans in 3 Tests, 5 ODIs and one-off T20I.

After a break of only 10 days, India will face the mighty Aussies at home in a limited-overs series which is starting from September 17. Followed by that, the Men in Blue will lock horns with New Zealand. The Indian cricket team will have to play 14 matches in two months time.

As per reports, the Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri wants a break for his team. According to the insiders of the BCCI, Shastri has asked the parent body of Indian Cricket to give the side a “decent break” from play as they need some time to recover too.

“The international calendar is so tight these days and it’s not only the matches that take a toll on players’ body, but the long flights and travelling. Shastri has requested us to look into it,” a source quoted in media said.

“He believes it would help players to recover faster. England and Australia give enough gaps between series and the BCCI too should have a plan where players can get a decent break and recover better.

“Otherwise, everyone is happy with the way how BCCI is taking care of its players,” the source concluded.
