Virat, Rohit & Sachin among list of dignitaries invited for consecration ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya | Reports

Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian cricket stars Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar are among the prominent dignitaries invited for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Pran Pratisththa ceremony for Ram Lalla is scheduled for January 22, 2024. In addition to the cricket icons, footballers Sunil Chhetri and Baichung Bhutia, boxer Mary Kom, badminton star PV Sindhu, Pullela Gopichand are also among the guest list.

The guest list also includes esteemed personalities such as actors Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, as well as business magnates Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani, and Mukesh Ambani.

According to reports the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has extended invitations to 6,000 religious leaders for the ceremony. The remaining 2,000 invitees consist of VVIPs from various countries, encompassing retired army officers, former civil servants, poets, lawyers, and recipients of the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards.

The foundation stone for the Ram Temple was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2020, using a silver brick. Modi, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, is expected to be present at the consecration ceremony, marking a significant moment in the construction of the temple.
