Yet another century. Virat Kohli has been in some phenomenal from as he is on a rampage of breaking records and creating milestones. After registering a brilliant century followed by a 150, Kohli scored a magnificent double century today at Delhi in the third test match against Sri Lanka.

After finishing Day 1 on 156 not out Kohli hit a brilliant 200 and ultimately was dismissed on 243. Just after the Nagpur test, Kohli scores back to back double ton in Delhi. Previously Vinod Kamli has become the first Indian to score back to double tons while Kohli registered his second double century as a skipper.Along with that Kohli is the first captain in the history of cricket who has 6 double tons under his belt. As of now Kohli lies in the 6th position in the list of the most double centuries as a batsman.

India piled up a mammoth total of 536/7, the hosts declared and has put the visitors to bat. India would be targeting to pick up early wickets and thereby look for ways to inflict a follow-on on the Lankans. Rohit Sharma accompanied Kohli as he played a constructive innings of 67 with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Wriddhiman Saha and Ravindra Jadega remained unbeaten on 9 and 5 respectively as India declared.

Sri Lanka on the other hand lost 3 wickets at the end of the days play and the score remains 131-3 at Stumps on Day 2. The visitors were left helpless on 14-2 as Dimuth Karunaratne departed without scoring while Dhananjaya de Silva managed 1. Dilruwan Perera’s 42 which somehow saved the Lankan collapse. Sri Lanka would be banking on the partnership of Angelo Mathews 57 and Dinesh Chandimal, 25 who are unbeaten at the crease.
