Xtra Time Web Desk: Lionel Messi produced yet another moment of brilliance as he scored an unbelievable goal against Uruguay in the South American 2022 World Cup Qualifiers at Buenos Aires on Sunday night.
Last time the PSG star showed up in Buenos Aires, he had an amazing night where he surpassed Pele as the South American player with the most international goals. On Sunday he scored an absolute stunner for La Albiceleste in front in front of his home fans.
It was a fantastic solo goal by Messi that strangely ended up in Fernando Muslera’s goal. Argentina won the match 3-0 with Rodrigo De Paul (44”) and Lautaro Martinez (62”) scoring the other two goals.
The win takes Argentina to the second place in points table with 22 points from 10 matches, which is six points behind Brazil who are on 28 points from same number of matches.
