Internet Desk: Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who is on a two day visit to Kashmir was greeted at a cricket match by crowds chanting ‘Boom Boom Afridi’ slogans. The world cup winning captain looked a bit bemused to get such a reception but as usual, dealt with it calmly and didn’t respond to the slogans going about his business.

Dhoni was in Baramullah to play an exhibition match organised by the Indian Army. He was also the chief guest for the final of the Chinar Cricket Premier League. The tournament received a huge response this time around with as many as 110 teams participating. The presence of the most successful Indian captain made the final even more popular.

A video clip emerged on social media in which Dhoni can be seen surrounded by people who were chanting  ‘Boom Boom Afridi’ in adulation of former Pakistani cricket captain and swashbuckling all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi.

Later speaking to media personnel, Dhoni said that it was up to the government to decide whether or not a cricket series with Pakistan could be held.
