Internet Desk: Kolkata football giants East Bengal have as many as 14 players playing for various franchises in the Indian Super League (ISL). Coach Trevor James Morgan is keeping a close eye on the performances of his players in the ISL. The Red and Gold footballers took part in a total number of 105 matches so far in the ISL. Midfielder Jackichand Singh who plays for Mumbai City FC have scored the only goal in ISL among all the 14 players plying their trade. Surprisingly Narayan Das (FC Pune City) has played the most number of matches along with veteran Mehtab Hossain. He played in 12 matches for his franchise. Veteran Mehtab Hossain of Kerala Blasters has also played 12 matches so far. Club’s new recruit Rowllin Borges who plies his trade for NorthEast United and Arnab Mondal (Atletico de Kolkata) has been part of the playing eleven in 11 matches till now. Lalrindika Ralte (Atletico de Kolkata), who missed the I League last season for East Bengal has played 10 matches till date. Jackichand Singh and Rahul Bheke (FC Pune City), both has been on the field for 9 matches.
Mohammed Rafiq (Kerala Blasters) has played for 8 matches while Robert Lalthlamuna (Atletico de Kolkata) and Robin Gurung (NorthEast United) has played in 7 and 6 matches respectively for their sides so far. Abhinash Ruidas (Atletico de Kolkata) has been in action for 5 matches till date. Subhasish Roy Chowdhury (FC Goa) has been on the field on 4 occasions while Kerala Blasters defender Gurwinder Singh and NorthEast United reserve goalkeeper TP Rahnesh has played just once for their sides.
With the I League slated to start in January next year, xtratime.in tries to analyse the performances of East Bengal footballers in ISL.
Jackichand Singh (Mumbai City FC): The attacking medio has been very productive for Alexandre Guimaraes side. Adjudged the best footballer of I League season 2014-15, Jackichand has scored a goal for his side in the seven matches that he played so far. Brushing aside the like of Diego Forlan should sharpen his skills further.
Nov 05- He scored the winning goal for his side’s 1-0 win over NorthEast United at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.
Arnab Mondal (Atletico de Kolkata): The reliable defender of Atletico de Kolkata has lived up to his expectation. Although Atletico did let in 13 goals so far, the cool headed Arnab has found Molina’s trust in the playing eleven. He has been one of the few consistent performers for his side.
Md Rafique (Kerala Blasters): Mohammed Rafique, who did not find much favour under Antonio Habas in Atletico de Kolkata has been rewarded with 8 starts this season by Kerala Blasters coach Steve Coppell. He has some impressive performances for the Blasters but lacked consistency.
Robin Gurung (NorthEast United): The defender from Sikkim did reasonably well for his side in ISL. The utility player, who can also play across the backline, has been on the field on 6 occasions.
Abinash Ruidas (Atletico de Kolkata): He has been one of the most consistent Indian mid-fielder for Atletico de Kolkata. His brilliant assist to Belencoso helped ATK win the match against FC Goa last week.

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment
