The legendary administrator’s wife, daughter Baishali Dalmiya, son Abhishek Dalmiya( CAB Joint Secretary) and other officials of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) were present in the grand occasion. In the grand occasion Dalmia’s blazer, tie and IPL accreditation card were unveiled which he wore when he became the BCCI president for the last time. Former CAB treasurer Shri Biswaroop Dey was seen very happy after the programme.” We have unveiled Dalmiya’s blazer, tie and IPL which he wore during his final term as the BCCI president in 2015. The future generation will get to know how good was Jagmohan Dalmiya as an administrator from these things,” said Biswaroop. In their last meeting the working committee had decided that a structure of Jagmohan Dalmiya would be build inside the Eden Gardens just like Dr. B.C. Roy. On being asked about its progress CAB Joint Secretary Abhishek Dalmiya said,” The working committee has already decided that the structure will be build inside the stadium and we will implement it as soon as possible. We haven’t decided yet the place where the statue will be build; the committee will discuss about this and take a decision." The blazer has a rich history said his son Abhishek Dalmiya.” He wore this blazer for the first time when he became the BCCI president in 2015. After that he used the blazer for few times to attend some BCCI meetings,” said Abhishek. Abhishek Dalmiya said he is thankful that everyone has remembered the day and the whole Dalmiya family is very much pleased to see this.
