Three crucial points for SC East Bengal against Jamshedpur FC

XtraTime Web Desk – SC East Bengal beat Jamshedpur FC as their coach Robbie Fowler is suspended for four games.

Jamshedpur started well in the first half but SC East Bengal blew the first blow as Matti Steinmann put the red and gold brigade in the 6th minute of the match. Narayan Das’ corner was beautifully headed by Steinmann to put SC East Bengal ahead.

Pilkington got another great opportunity to put SC East Bengal ahead in the 31st minute but his long range effort went just off the bar. After a long battle in the midfield, the first half ended 1-0 in favour of the red and gold brigade.

SC East Bengal started well in the second half but created a great chance in the 58th minute, when Narayan Das was unmarked and got a chance to put SC East Bengal ahead but Rehenesh made a good save to deny SC East Bengal.

In the 68th minute, Pilkington doubled the lead for SC East Bengal. In the 79th minute, Pilkington got another great opportunity to score but failed to put his team a 3 goal cushion.

In the 83rd minute Jamshedpur FC when Peter Hartley scored for the red miners and gave Jamshedpur a great chance to make a comeback. In the added time, they came close but Subrata Paul denied all the chances they created and SC East Bengal registered an important win.

SC East Bengal are now 9th in the table with 14 points from 16 games and Jamshedpur FC are 7th in the table with 18 points from 16 games.
