Internet Desk: Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has described former India captain MS Dhoni as ‘GOAT’. According to the former Pakistan captain, Dhoni is ‘GOAT’ (Greatest of All Time), an unambiguous compliment if you ever heard one.

In a recent Q&A session on Twitter, Malik was asked by one of Indian fan what he thought of Dhoni.

To this, Malik promptly replied, “Legend GOAT”

The response from the former Pakistan captain was well received by fans from both the cricket playing nations.

It is not surprising to see sportsman across the border having respect about each other. Dashing former Pakistan batsman Shahid Afridi has a lot of respect for India captain Virat Kohli. Vice versa, Kohli as a mark of respect sent Afridi his jersey signed by all the Indian cricketers.

With cricketing ties between both the countries restricted to only ICC events, the players do not get an opportunity to meet more frequently. The last time both the sides met each other was in the ICC Champions Trophy final on June 18 at Oval. India was comprehensively outplayed by their arch rivals.

Malik is currently involved in the Pakistan vs World XI T20 Internationals being played in Lahore. This series signifies the resumption of International cricket in the country after the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team near the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in March 2009.
