Internet Desk: Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shastri feels batting will be the key for India as Men in Blue will face South Africa at their own back yard in all the three formats of the game from next month. He believes that Indian bowling is also as good as their batting.

India is the number one ranked team in Test crickets but they never won a Test series against Proteas in South Africa till now. “India will play against South Africa, England and Australia in upcoming eighteen months. The Men in Blue also never won a series in Australia. Our bowling attack is now much better and we expect a good result in South Africa and Australia. Our team has a very good all-rounder in form of Hardik Pandya. Our bowlers and batsmen have to perform well to have a good result in overseas. We must pick twenty wickets of the oppositions. This bowling lineup has the ability to do so. We hope for the best,” said Shastri while talking to TOI.

Kholi getting better day by day on the field and off the field which made Indian head coach very happy. Everyone knows about the good relation between Kohli and Shastri.

“The equation is great. We are similar personalities. There is an element of trust in our relationship. We are both strong minded, both play to win at all costs. We play to win. We don’t go there to do time-pass,” said Shastri, who played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs and led India in one Test. “This is not a team that is out there to fill the numbers. We want to compete. We want to take the game forward. He is pretty similar in his mindset when it comes to that and he is in-your-face kind of character. With Virat Kohli, what you see is what you get,” said Shastri
